Saco police issue shelter-in-place warning due to 'incident' near Thornton Academy

 Police are urging people in Saco to shelter-in-place due to an “incident” that started near Thornton Academy.

Saco schools are in lockdown. Students are sheltering in place, and roads in the area around Thornton Academy are shut down.

School officials say students remain safe and they are working with the Saco police to "monitor the situation."
